Jack is a CPA whose background is technical accounting and helping companies through funding and IPO readiness. He is who we turn to when a transaction is unusual, a revenue arrangement is complicated, or an auditor is going to ask a hard question. Jack works with the controller team on the accounting positions that have to hold up under outside review.
Taryn Yee
Partner, CPA
Taryn is a CPA who works across operations and business development. She spends her time on how engagements actually run, from scoping new work through to keeping delivery consistent as the firm grows.
Andy Lau
Managing Partner
Andy runs the firm day to day. His career has been in building product platforms and leading business operations, work that comes down to making systems produce reliable results at scale. He brings the same emphasis here: how the work gets done matters as much as whether it got done.

Margaret Michel
Managing Controller
Margaret Michel is a strategic leader with over 18 years of experience transforming financial complexity into actionable insights. Holding an MBA and dual certifications in management accounting and bookkeeping, she offers a rare blend of high-level strategy and technical precision.
Known for a transparent and collaborative approach, Margaret specializes in “untangling” legacy records, building robust internal controls, and implementing scalable systems like QuickBooks Online. By bridging the gap between meticulous bookkeeping and executive analysis, she provides the clarity and sustainable workflows necessary for organizations to scale effectively.
A Bay Area native, Margaret is dedicated to helping local businesses thrive through financial partnership. Outside of the office, she is an avid runner and hiker who enjoys baking and spending time at the beach.
Patty Weber
Controller
Patty Weber is a knowledgeable financial executive with over 20 years of hands-on experience in accounting and controllership. Since joining Silicon Valley Accounting Solutions in 2019, she has delivered expert services in bookkeeping, financial reporting, month-end closes, and consulting to Silicon Valley clients. She specializes in financial statement preparation, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger management, and GAAP compliance.
Patty is a certified Intuit QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, Rippling Payroll certified, and a federal fiduciary. A detailed accountant and determined problem solver, Patty excels at building strong business relationships and communicating effectively with C-level executives. She brings strong leadership, mentoring, and process improvement skills to every engagement. In her spare time, Patty enjoys outdoor photography, specializing in landscapes, wildlife, and an occasional comet.
Jeff Barnes
Controller
Jeff Barnes is an accomplished Accounting Controller with more than 15 years of experience providing strategic financial leadership and driving operational excellence for small to mid-sized businesses. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is QuickBooks Certified, with broad industry experience spanning retail, SaaS, fintech, property management, manufacturing, service, hospitality, and pharmaceutical sectors.
Jeff specializes in financial reporting, budgeting, cost-reduction strategies, and process improvement. He has a strong track record of building efficient accounting systems that support business growth, improve scalability, and turn financial data into clear, actionable insights. Known for his attention to detail and hands-on leadership style, Jeff helps organizations streamline operations, optimize budgets, and strengthen financial performance.
Beyond his professional work, Jeff serves as a board member for a social club and volunteers with a nonprofit organization in the Bay Area. In his free time, he enjoys reading, hiking, camping, kayaking, bowling, and playing softball.
Danielle Villaseñor
Controller
Danielle Villaseñor has extensive experience in management accounting, working for both public corporations and, since 2011, as a consulting controller to start-ups and small businesses at various growth stages, in a variety of industries in the US and abroad. She is well-versed in all areas of operational support including payroll processing on a variety of well-known platforms, but her favorite work includes partnering with executive management on analytical projects such as budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and working capital management.
In addition to her work in the for-profit sector, Danielle has also been a board member and Treasurer at several charities around the San Francisco Bay Area and enjoys helping her nonprofit clients to flourish by providing financial clarity, regulatory compliance, and assuring donor trust in the use of their funds.
Janine Benedict
Controller
Janine Benedict is a Controller and financial operations leader with over 20 years of experience helping organizations scale, strengthen financial infrastructure, and gain clarity in their numbers. With a background as a Director of Finance and Operations, she brings a strategic, big-picture perspective to her work, partnering with leadership teams to support informed, data-driven decision-making.
Her expertise includes financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow strategy, and process optimization across a variety of industries. Janine is known for building scalable accounting systems and transforming QuickBooks Online environments into reliable, insight-driven tools that improve visibility, accuracy, and operational performance.
She works closely with clients as a trusted advisor, helping them move beyond day-to-day accounting to better understand performance, plan for growth, and make confident business decisions.
Outside of her client work, Janine serves as Treasurer for a Bay Area nonprofit and enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and training for her next marathon.
